Not for sure what sort of tree this is, but it reminded me of the Whomping Willow in the Harry Potter movies/books.
I want to go back down there at a different time of day and take some more photos; the sun was just too low on the horizon to get good detail.
Wow, that does look alot like the Whomping willow. Same lean, same twisty form. Good eye Mike.

ReplyDeleteThere are neighbors within a few miles, but because the land has just a little bit of contour - it's right between some gently rolling hills - there are great views of the horizon and no other human development other than the fences and such for ranching. Very picturesque.
Is it a willow? I believe it's one of the few trees around for quite some distance.
