There were other videos, some in concert and on TV, but this had the best sound quality of the several I viewed/listened to. I've always liked this song, love the back beat and also the story it tells.
Reading about John Stewart, I was surprised to learn he was once a member of The Kingston Trio and the songs he had written, namely Daydream Believer.
That's Stevie Nicks singing backup.

Never hear of this guy until now , nice song though ,easy to listen and like the first time ,and of course having Stevie in the background made it for me :)
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about it until I saw it on a "One-hit wonder" list, which wasn't really fair to Stewart considering the songs he had written or others performed with the Kingston Trio.
ReplyDeleteI was really getting into music when the song came out; I have always loved music, but it was around that time I was starting to make good money and could afford to buy pretty much what I wanted. I had just got married and my wife came into the union w/ a pretty good selection of records and she didn't mind me buying several albums at a time as long as I bought her a Crystal Gayle one.
Thanks f/ posting!
