The church flourished but was forced to relocate frequently. It was violently expelled from Missouri, and a mob killed Smith in Illinois in 1844. I should have thanked you, and when going back through all the comments, I found this one. I was also looking for this particular photo and like it too, thanks.
I try not to do anything else to the photo other than cropping it (there's loads of crapola in the background, and just to the immediate left, but cropped out, are those ubiquitous telephone and power lines. -sigh-
