Love the Mamas and the Papas , have a few of their cd's , would love to have a voice like mama Cass had , I'm sure on the way to having her body enough but her voice I sure couldn't match , shame her life was cut short , very easy listening music they did.
I grew up listening to them, what with having two older sisters, the oldest one being five yrs. older, so my musical tastes - in rock/pop at least - started with listening to the same things she did. (my other sister was more of a country fan) My folks loved music and my sisters and I were exposed to all types of music via mom and dad. We could always count on getting music and books for Christmas and birthdays.
I've had a post planned for several years about the M&P's because of some folk artist's low opinion of this type of music. Guess I need to dig out my Notepad document and get to it. I'm lucky to get one post a day in though and there's so many other things I want to post and write about.
