I've said this before, but the structure changes colors depending upon the time of day as well as the time of year.

I take photos of it not so much because it's one of the few "attractions" here in the Panhandle, but because it affects me on such an emotional level.

It's always a game to me, that is, when I can remember to play when driving over, to try to make it out from the farthest distance.

When I took Helen over there, my own first trip and proper visit and stop, I pointed it out to her when I first saw it. I don't think she was impressed, but after driving another five or more miles, she became more and moreso impressed.

I really need to do a post like I've done in Groups, but this time put in all the "vitals", how much steel, concrete, all that. Anyone who has worked construction of any type with concrete and steel would be impressed, I certainly was.; August 2, 2007 at 7:50 PM
