These statues are so perfectly done, Im in awe of how the folds of the dress and smaller details like the bones and veins in her hands are shown, is this statue made of pewter or bronze ....becuase of the colouring I didnt think it was bronze but Im not sure.
I would love to visit that place one day in the future you have shown some wonderful photos from there, but I know it would make me quite sad seeing the misery the staues depict.
I think they're bronze, Alison, but I've noticed on a couple of 'em some "chipping" away at the veneer on them, so...I just don't know for sure.
I'll make sure, let you know, though. I know the lady at the gift shop told me they ea. cost upwards of 30,000 dollars.
I have some more photos of this station, but didn't care for them all that much. I am planning on going back over there soon, trying to get some more closeups of the statue's faces.
