Now that song took me back a bit ! his songs and videos were always that bit unusual, quite loud and colourful , I read a report that he is suffering from a bi polar disorder, but still does shows and gigs from time to time. Well I could say I liked him but not a lot..... thought he was gay but I think im getting mixed up with Boy George ....well not that it would matter anyhow ! LOL...now there is a good artist , dressed even more flamboyantly than adam ( :
Adam Ant was absolutely brilliant in an espisode of one of my fav. TV shows "Northern Exposure" He more-or-less played himself, a rock star, normally self-absorbed but decides he'll "give something back to the world" by performing a concert with the local Innuit (Eskimo) tribe drummers. What was really funny about the show was that he was poking fun at musicians, their lifestyle, and particularly the label that was put on his own brand of music: "Tribal Rock". Like I said, was brilliant.
I've an mp3 jukebox set up on my computer with several hundred of my favorite tunes and this is one of 'em. I like the drums, the lyrics are cute. I never cared much for the "goody two-shoes" type of girl.
Most of the rest of my online pals know about my initial infatuation w/ Boy George...before I found she was a he. -ahem-
To be honest, that's why I posted the Hanson vid earlier; when I first saw it, I thought of the lead singer "She's a cute little gal!"
These incidents have made me question my sexual identity, even if but for a few seconds. When I once came home from the video store with "The Crying Game", "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" and "The Birdcage" I REALLY started wondering about myself.
I was reassured when I thought of the "basic criteria": I'm sensitive, I like show tunes, but I'm pretty much a big slob, so I quit worrying about it.
Thanks for posting
