:) Yeah I can comment again! lol Been waiting just to say I love this model, the 55 chevy! just looked cool to me, most people I think always spout the 57 as being the sportiest looking of that series body style but I prefer this one personally, I think mainly the stright lines on the moulding along the rear fender, those curved ones on the 56 and 57 make the car look bent in the middle or something. You know I just noticed there in the top photo that those 3 years are represented 55 in front, then 56 on the stars and stripes, and the 57 there next. I wasnt sure from looking at the stars and stripes one in the other post just which year that was, but having noticed the tail endof it in this photo I can see its 56 :) Great pics Mike, thanks! Man i miss chrome. wish we had some of these car shows near here. Well we do but its on the weekneds in the summer and with the job I ahve, I couldnt dream of having a weekend off :(
Yes I like this one somehow the best , well I dont mind seeing the curved grooves on the others , I quite like the shape they take , but I do like this one and the colours are my home football tems too : ) these cars are in real tip top condition and someone has worked mighty hard to get that chrome all gleaming like it is.
One year in the future G we will go visit Mike and he can take us around the show there in Texas, I would love that .
The stars 'n stripes car was still being worked on. My pal said he knew the guy who owned it.
It was really just a "dash around" sort of photo op. They were awarding prizes and many people who hadn't won a prize were leaving. I mentioned before that I had to be careful or I'd get hit by a departing car.
Not supposed to aplogize for them, I know, but I really didn't make an honest effort to take the best photos I could. I was really tired, my blood sugar was high and it was hotter 'n the hubs of hell and a huge thunderstorm was coming, the pressure was dropping and it was so muggy, it felt as though I was trying to swim through mollasses.
Thanks for posting!
Oh I wasnt complaining at all of the photos, thought they were great. I know its not easy with all that activity to take too much time to get a shot period. I made a mistake though as the stars and stripes is a 55 and not a 56. It was plain as day in the first post you made of it and I don't know why I thought to even say it was a 56. momentary lapse of reason... or just rambling more than thinking. Do appreciate the pics though, I've enjoyed them, can;t wait to see the rest. Thanks Mike
I took about 70 photos yesterday, and there's not but a couple worth publishing.
Thanks for your comments.
I never was a car nut, was more interested in girls, sports and girls.
I never was gonna get a girl because of my car, so that's why I took up sports.
