I love this song but it sooooo sad , off to add it to my playlist.
I love Roy Orbison. He used to play a gig every summer at the Hampton Beach Club Casino.
It was a rickety old place right on the beach, a sort of throw back to the boardwalk days when every resort beach had a ballroom up stairs over the shops and arcades.
I saw him there so many times I've lost count. I tried not to miss a summer.
That man toured constantly. Not sure if he just liked being on the road touring or if he really needed the money.
He was such a rock icon with those black glasses, casual slouch and all black garb. I miss those shows. Have only been back there once since he passed to see Huey Lewis and the News. It just wasn't the same.
I like him, too, and always thought lang had such a sweet voice. I need to go see what has happened with her.
Love people to tell stories like that, Barb, thanks so much for sharing.
I remember listening to our 45 record of "Pretty Woman" over and over and over when I was a kid, til I nearly wore it out.
Thanks for posting!
