We had a shepard dog that was supposed to be a couple of generations from the Rin Tin Tin line.
I remember picking up the dog at a guy's trailer house here in town, and remember his name (he was kin to one of my uncles) and the way I *think* the story went was that the man had worked in California for the trainer who owned some dog out of the line of dogs leading back to the famous Rin Tin Tin. He stole one of the dogs and this puppy was out of that dog.
Had so many dogs, several German Shepards, the rest of my family went to poodles for a while...I've always liked cats, but if I lived out in the country, I'd get me a Shepard.
