For me, one of the first Pink Floyd songs to which I tripped, and the haunting words... especially those in the second verse, "Did you exchange, a walk on part in the war, for a lead role in a cage?" moved me then, and still does today.

By "tripped", do you mean what I think you do? -grin-
I made the mistake of drinking some punch at a party off campus at college, right before we all loaded up and drove to Lubbock to watch "The Exorcist". First time f/ me and sure wish I could have been informed about it beforehand.
