  Apple Inc. Is Formed (1976)Apple Computer, Inc., was the first successful personal computer company. The company has its roots in the Jobs family's garage, where cofounders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak assembled the first Apple computer. Consisting of a handmade motherboard, the Apple I did not even include a monitor or keyboard. The Apple II, introduced the next year with a plastic case and color graphics, launched Apple to success. When I first met my British friend Elle in a chat room, we began to chat in private mode, then used instant messaging to talk w/ each other and sent thousands of emails back and forth. Even though we hadn't met, by the time we did meet face-to-face, I knew her as well as any other woman in my life (outside my sisters and mother).
One of the things we found we had in common was we both loved ABBA, but I was a little skeptical when she told me that when she (Elle) was younger, she looked just like Agnetha from ABBA. She later sent me a photo of herself at the age of 16 and darned if she wasn't the spittin' image! Watching this video and accounting for the years that have gone by, the resemblance is still there.
