I love that song. Do you have any idea what year this was? I found it interesting that all the guys singing as well as the guys in the audience had on dress shirts and ties. Can you imagine high school boys wearing ties out in public now? I like things a little more casual than they were then but am appalled and dismayed when I see how people dress for church and places like funerals now. I can remember Mother (and Sandy and I) wearing gloves to church and Mother even wore hats. I think it shows a lack of respect for yourself and for the occasion to dress so sloppily. I can't say I miss girdles and petticoats though!
It came out in '58, but the tune got more interest from being on the soundtrack of American Graffiti in '73.
When I worked at the liquor store, a big old gal came in to apply for a job wearing shorts so tight they showed a cameltoe long before I knew what one was called and so short her butt cheeks actually hung out. To top that off, she was wearing a men's white wifebeater undershirt...w/out a bra. I know she HAD to have applied only to satisfy the requirement for unemployment.
