![]() ![]() Founding of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints (1830)Shortly after Joseph Smith published the Book of Mormon in 1830, he officially founded The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints—also known as the Mormon Church—in Fayette, New York. The church flourished but was forced to relocate frequently. It was violently expelled from Missouri, and a mob killed Smith in Illinois in 1844. Come to think of it, so did I.
Those guys are sort of timeless,a aren't they? I know they get "sampled" a lot by today's artists.
Duncan St. here in town used to have really steep shoulders, houses on each side and me 'n a friend used to drive the road in his VW, playing this song.
Was so weird, the bumps in the road went right along with the music and the opening sound effect of the tune HAS to be a VW.
I've got this album; elle sent it to me after she learned I liked 'em. I forget what CD it is, but it's not the radio/original version of it.
