This Day in History
  As the World Turns Premieres (1956)Soap operas began in the early 1930s as 15-minute radio episodes and continued in that format when they began appearing on TV in the early 1950s. As the World Turns premiered as the first half-hour TV soap. The show, which primarily focused on two professional families in the fictional town of Oakdale, Illinois, ran for 54 years and aired nearly 14,000 episodes. No, just found that "walk" quiz and made me think of several walking musical vids. I've done it before.
Loved The James Gang back when I was a kid, still do, but they were a favorite then.
Yup, Joe Walsh has such an unlikely voice for a lead singer but it's one of those distinctive voices that for me make me want to sing along.
I love the opening guitar riff, it's not a very good song for "Name That Tune" because any classic rock lover would immediately know.
