Tolbert Is Killed in Military Coup (1980)Liberia was founded in the 1820s by former slaves from the US, and tensions between the Americo-Liberian minority and the indigenous majority have persisted since that time. On April 12, 1980, a group of soldiers led by Samuel Kanyon Doe stormed the executive mansion, killing Americo-Liberian President William R. Tolbert and 27 other government leaders. That was cool! I loved the early black and white portion and was particularly heartened to see one of my favs, Heddy Lamar.
That was, wasn't it! Several of those "golden age of movie" actresses were so pretty. I've been watching a few more older movies here lately and have been admiring not only their beauty, but their acting abilities.
I haven't watched Hunger Games yet or anything else she's been in, but I think Jennifer Lawrence should be on that list, replacing one of the others. (I'd have to go back and look to count the ones I would kick off, but, it would be a hard thing to do). I'm also surprised Jennifer Aniston wasn't on the list because she's been on many "Most Beautiful" lists. I am not particularly a fan of hers, but just talking about current actresses.
I've sort of developed a crush on Rachel Nichols since I've been watching Continuum.
It makes me a feel like a bit of a pervert, but there are some younger actresses that are really pretty. I don't know how their careers will turn out, but I think Bonnie Wright of Harry Potter fame has become a lovely young woman, as well as Evanna Lynch and Anna Shaffer.
I started a label "most beautiful women" and keep meaning to do more w/ it, but I don't own any of the photos and don't want any CR problems. If I use photos, they're almost always from Wiki and figure there's some sort of Creative Commons license w/ those there. Guess I should be more ethical with those types of things.
Anyway, thanks f/ posting, glad you enjoyed it!
