The church flourished but was forced to relocate frequently. It was violently expelled from Missouri, and a mob killed Smith in Illinois in 1844. I never had really been "into" Metallica, they always seemed "too hard" for my tastes, but I guess tastes change and I love this song. I don't remember when it came out, don't guess I listened to radio stations that played it.
The one thing I remember about Metallica was when I first got online and read some articles about them really fighting the websites that were sharing their music. Can't blame 'em for that.
