Something always made me wonder; when I saw people discussing the color "hints" in the episodes, some were so proud to say they figured out "White + "Schwarz" (one of the other founders and is the German word for 'black')=Gray, as in "Gray Matter".
Gilligan, the writer/producer of the show, did mention that, but I never saw anyone mention that "gray matter" is also a name for the brain.
