  As the World Turns Premieres (1956)Soap operas began in the early 1930s as 15-minute radio episodes and continued in that format when they began appearing on TV in the early 1950s. As the World Turns premiered as the first half-hour TV soap. The show, which primarily focused on two professional families in the fictional town of Oakdale, Illinois, ran for 54 years and aired nearly 14,000 episodes. LMBO , I cant help it I have a warped sense of humour , I watch these vids a lot on YT .
Yeah, that one was funny, huh? I looked as closely as I could, but didn't see where he could see out of the get-up.
Oddly enough, I was just discussing another video by that same channel where a guy goes up to a homeless man and gives him a lottery ticket instead of money and has already pre-planned it with the store clerk to pretend it's a thousand dollar winner. The post I replied to said the guy giving away the money would make that and much more from the revenue generated by the post and others were taking him to task, but I had to defend the guy who the others were criticizing. The vid already had 3 and a half million views and according to what I've read, the video has prob. generated several thousand bucks on that alone, perhaps even more.
Anyway...I like them too and spend far too much time on YT. I used to not b/c I had a slower connection and it was a hassle waiting f/ them to load plus all the buffering, but now they're not nearly as bad.
