Roosevelt Forbids Hoarding of Gold (1933)Executive Order 6102 required US citizens and businesses to turn in all but a small amount of gold to the Federal Reserve in exchange for $20.67 per ounce. It came in the midst of a banking crisis, when the stability of paper currency was in doubt. Consequently, many tried to withdraw their money and redeem it for gold, which was considered safer. I can't read music either, but it's a tribute to a musician who once lived here. I will do some more on him later.
You are certain to have sang this particular tune back in grade school music class, I would be willing to wager on it.

I posted this over in another forum and it was guessed fairly quickly. I remember you and Sandy laughing the first time you said you guys saw it while up here during a holiday, how you hummed it out.
I hum it too, but mine's off-key.
