  Apple Inc. Is Formed (1976)Apple Computer, Inc., was the first successful personal computer company. The company has its roots in the Jobs family's garage, where cofounders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak assembled the first Apple computer. Consisting of a handmade motherboard, the Apple I did not even include a monitor or keyboard. The Apple II, introduced the next year with a plastic case and color graphics, launched Apple to success. I remember the first time I ever heard their music -they're one of my all-time favorite groups.
I almost bought a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda for my second car because of their song by the same name, but my dad talked me out of it. It had a HUGE engine in it and he probably thought I would kill myself in it (and I might have) but he used the argument that it wouldn't get very good gas mileage. (and it wouldn't have) I wound up getting a '67 Fairlane instead, but I sure loved to crank up my 8-track and listen to Heart.
Like so many musicians, though, they've annoyed me w/ some of their comments. I don't expect anyone to have the same views as I do (but they should!) but they went a little overboard w/ some of their criticisms of a past president, yet are strangely silent w/ a different administration. Oh well. I still listen to their tunes, though.
They've got some great "unplugged" stuff, used to be on Yahoo.
