![]() ![]() US President Franklin D. Roosevelt Forbids Hoarding of Gold (1933)Executive Order 6102 required US citizens and businesses to turn in all but a small amount of gold to the Federal Reserve in exchange for $20.67 per ounce. They were all having a blast, except that grumpy one with the beard. Too cute!
I liked it too; I ran across it on YT then even before I posted it here, it was making the rounds on Facebook - first saw it on the Grit page.
I've watched this on Facebook and got a smile out of it. But that got me thinking about a nasty smelly ole billy goat that Curtis and I had that used to jump up on top of our car and scratch everything up. We never had anything fancy, but that nasty goat didn't help things any! They may be cute to look at but they sure can smell bad, too!
I remember Dad swapping a generator for some goats and them getting out of the pen and liking to stand on my car, too. I don't remember what happened to the rest, but the one sure tasted good bbq'd.
There's a lot of them out at the horse lots outside of the city limits and quite a few are running around loose.
I had a post last week "Hen Cam" and the lady has webcams in her chicken coops and one that's motion activated on her goats. She had them neutered, which would be the way to go if you just wanted one/them as pets.
