  As the World Turns Premieres (1956)Soap operas began in the early 1930s as 15-minute radio episodes and continued in that format when they began appearing on TV in the early 1950s. As the World Turns premiered as the first half-hour TV soap. The show, which primarily focused on two professional families in the fictional town of Oakdale, Illinois, ran for 54 years and aired nearly 14,000 episodes. Thank you Mike, you seem to always find the gems.
He's really talented, Mal. He's got a unique finger style way of playing, esp. when he adds percussion by tapping on the body of his guitar. I have subscribed to his YT channel for several years and always look fwd. to his newest uploads. This is one of my favorites he's done, but he's done a pretty good job of covering some newer tunes.
One thing that sorta freaks me out: I've looked closely at his right/strumming hand and I don't know if those are finger picks or if he's let his nails grow out. If it's the latter, then I understand but it still sorta freaks me out to see such long nails on a man.
Anyway...I follow several guitar players on YT and think I've posted videos from all of them.
