The last two dogs I've had were both over 6 months old when I got them and already knew the basics of good behavior. I did get caught up watching their antics though. I'd love to have a dog, but here in town.... I have neighbors across the street that have three and let them roam loose. I've seen them very nearly run over several times. They were keeping them tied up in the front yard and my other neighbor called the pound on them after she saw they didn't even have any water during this hot summer.
