Roosevelt Forbids Hoarding of Gold (1933)Executive Order 6102 required US citizens and businesses to turn in all but a small amount of gold to the Federal Reserve in exchange for $20.67 per ounce. It came in the midst of a banking crisis, when the stability of paper currency was in doubt. Consequently, many tried to withdraw their money and redeem it for gold, which was considered safer. How cute.....but I am so very glad they are not mine. I don't have the patience anymore for a puppy. I'm not sure I ever did. The last two dogs I've had were both over 6 months old when I got them and already knew the basics of good behavior. I did get caught up watching their antics though. They sure are cute little critters.
They're always sleeping when I tune in!
I'd love to have a dog, but here in town.... I have neighbors across the street that have three and let them roam loose. I've seen them very nearly run over several times. They were keeping them tied up in the front yard and my other neighbor called the pound on them after she saw they didn't even have any water during this hot summer.
Some people shouldn't have pets.
I bumped this up because I didn't want to dig for it later and wanted others to see it, too.
