  US President Franklin D. Roosevelt Forbids Hoarding of Gold (1933)Executive Order 6102 required US citizens and businesses to turn in all but a small amount of gold to the Federal Reserve in exchange for $20.67 per ounce. It came in the midst of a banking crisis, when the stability of paper currency was in doubt. Consequently, many tried to withdraw their money and redeem it for gold, which was considered safer. It was a good quality vid, wasn't it? I wasn't all that familiar with The Band until I saw a great movie called "Carny" w/ Gary Busey and Robbie Robertson. I don't know why Robertson didn't go on to do more acting because he was brilliant in that, as was Busey. (of course, it was playing to Busey's crazy true life persona)
After an incident last night, I thought "Man, i feel lighter." and immediately thought of this tune. I've had a rough couple of months lately. Things are gonna look up!
I should have added that Robertson participated in other movies, but not many other acting roles.
