![]() ![]() Oscar Wilde's Libel Case Begins (1895)When the marquess of Queensbury became convinced that his son, Alfred Douglas, was having an affair with Wilde, he began to rail against the author and playwright, publicly accusing Wilde of sodomy, a crime at the time. At Douglas's urging, Wilde sued the marquess for libel. He not only lost the case, but was in turn charged with homosexual offenses and arrested. I need to get rid of it as I think it's causing the page to load even more slowly than normal.
I try to keep from posting more than one video per "page", as well as keeping the number of posts to a minimum. Sometimes I will adjust it to make the length of them match the right-hand column.
That's probably a bit TOO anal, huh? -bg-
I probably also need to get rid of the news feed because instead of gathering only news about the panhandle of Texas, it will post articles from Ohio and other states, plus articles from downstate online news sources.
Besides, I've got to make room for another Dallas Cowboys feed! lol
