A cartogram is a map in which a variable of interest (e.g. population, income) is substituted for area. In this case, we've taken the population of each US state as determined by the census, conducted every decade.

Mike, you come up with the most unusual things! This would never have occurred to me, but it's interesting. I like maps anyway, but this is a fun spin on maps.
I used to enjoy my blog, even though it never got much traffic, but I have a hard time getting motivated these days.
