I was only going to watch for a second but found myself listening to the entire song! On a side note my hair wasn't blonde but I used to wear it just like that! What year did this come out, Mike?
They were more of a "bubblegum band" when they came out w/ songs like "Little Willy", "Fox on the Run" and they came out later with this, a little harder. Their last hit was "Love is Like Oxygen", so they really never established any type of identity or specific genre associated with them. I just remember Rex being nuts about Ballroom Blitz.
I remember certain songs and when the first time I ever heard them. I don't remember any Sweet songs that way, but I remember where I was on other ones...one being Long Cool Woman by The Hollies (was with D. Buice and Emmy Bailey (now Bean) waiting to go into the Tri-State fairgrounds. When I hear other songs, I'm brought back to the time they came out, such as Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album when I lived in Denton. Other than certain smells, sounds/music bring back the most specific memories.
A granddaughter that's 22, doesn't seem possible. OTOH, I think it's been 22 yrs. since I had sex. (it hasn't been, just seems that way)
I have 3 grandkids that are in their 20's and 2 more that will be 20 on their next birthdays. Addison is the youngest one and she was 15 on her birthday in August. And then I have 2 great grand kids. Caidence is 18 months old and Zayn will be 3 months old on Christmas day. So guess great Uncle Mike is also great-great Uncle Mike. Does THAT make you feel old?!!?
I am Nana to the grandkids and Grana to the great grandkids. Sarah's baby (Eve LaVon) is due the last of January and I will be great-aunt Sharon (GAS) so Sarah calls me Aunt Gassy--not exactly flattering but that's okay with me!

It came out in 1974, Sis. It was in a YT recommended videos and I thought I had posted it before, but guess not. It was one of Rex's fav. tunes.
I was only 24 years old when that song came out and now I have a granddaughter that's 22. Where did the years go?
