Zoinks!

One of the better 404 pages I've seen, from imgur.  The animal's eyes follow the cursor. (As I've said before, I'm easily entertained)

To be honest, I took a wrong turn before that just by searching for those recently leaked nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence, although I did manage to find 'em.  "Zoinks!" wasn't the word I'd use to describe them, although the sexiest one - IMHO -  wasn't one of the nude photos, but a selfie she'd taken of her in a one-piece swimsuit.

She's not the prettiest woman in Hollywood, nor the most talented, but there's *something* about her that makes her very attractive to me.  I've seen her in interviews and it's obvious she hasn't let her fame go to her head.  She seems personable, sweet and also looks very wholesome and other than this leak of her private photos, has managed to escape scandals and controversy...at least, so far.

Even though my friend Barb is married, I'm almost sure she doesn't think much of Lawrence, being a huge Coldplay fan. (the reason)

(Just joshin' ya, Barb.  Love ya!)

You Used To Be Cute

Check out the guy's notepad near the end of the clip. Good grief.

Barely Passed

Elvis Presley got a 'C' in his 8th grade music class.

And, from reports, he was trying to pass when he died.

Moonlighters

I'm sitting here waiting on the Cowboys/Redskins game that starts at noon and the host on the online radio show I'm listening to said it's raining in Washington, DC.  I decided I'd go look at the DC area weather radar to see if it looked like it would rain all through the game. (I'm thinking Dallas would benefit from good, dry weather because I think the offense will have to carry the day)

On the website header there is a graphic with two of the station's weather people;  I didn't pay them much mind at first, but after looking at the radar, my gaze was drawn back to them...they looked familiar:

The graphic says their names are Doug Hill and Jacqui Jeras, but I'm not so sure.

I think it's Joe Biden and Gwyneth Paltrow moonlighting at their second jobs.

Morganna the Kissing Bandit

I've only been to a "gentleman's club" a few times in my life; a couple times with a bunch of friends as we celebrated one's upcoming nuptials and once to go see Morganna and her huge snake.   Well, not so much the snake.  To be honest, I always felt uncomfortable at those places, not because I'm a prude, but because I felt sorry for women who had to debase themselves for money.

I knew who she was because I had seen her on the news after she had ran onto the field and kissed a ballplayer. Sometimes she got into trouble, getting beaten up after one attempt and arrested several other times. She stood trial in Houston, Texas, where her lawyer used what he called the "gravity defense" to explain her unauthorized presence on the field, arguing: "This woman with a 112-pound body and 15-pound chest leaned over the rail to see a foul ball. Gravity took its toll, she fell out on the field, and the rest is history." The judge laughed and dismissed the case.

Breaking Bad Halloween

You may have already seen this photo; Aaron Paul posted it to his Twitter account and it's been discussed in several Breaking Bad message boards and other forums. Most people, such as myself, think it's cute and funny but as always is the case, *some* people were offended. "Dressing kids up as drug dealers? Horrible idea! Bad parents!" are the basic complaints. What I'd like to know is this:

Do these same people also complain when parents dress their kids up as Dracula, a witch, a zombie or the like? I asked that very question to someone who was up-in-arms over the photo and they said "But these parents are promoting drug use...and that's not cute!  People die every day from using or selling meth!!!"  I had to point out to them that vampires bite people, either killing them or, with the bite, sentencing them to an eternity of being a vampire as well, that witches in fairy tales captured and ate children and zombies...well, they just kill and then eat everyone, particularly their brains.

"But that's fiction!" came the reply.

Uh...and Breaking Bad wasn't?  Dressing your kids up as characters from a movie or TV show doesn't mean you condone whatever it was the FICTIONAL character did.

Even with all the horrible things the characters in Breaking Bad did, that photo makes me smile.  *Some* people just want to go Breaking Butthurt and are more offensive than whatever it is they're protesting.

Stop Watching Us

Great video...on the surface. These Hollywood celebs bring up Nixon, yet say absolutely nothing about the person they were, in a large part, directly responsible for putting into office. You screamed about Bush and the Patriot Act, but are silent about this administration, the one that has vastly expanded these domestic spying programs?

Hypocrites.

Foggy Mountain Breakdown - Earl Scruggs & Friends

Earl Scruggs, banjo - Glen Duncan, fiddle - Randy Scruggs, acoustic guitar - Steve Martin, 2nd banjo solo - Vince Gill, 1st electric guitar solo - Marty Stuart, mandolin - Gary Scruggs, harmonica - Albert Lee, 2nd electric guitar solo - Paul Shaffer, piano - Jerry Douglas, dobro - Leon Russell, organ - Glenn Worf, bass - Harry Stinson, drums

Honestly, it doesn't matter if you're a heavy metal or rap, country or classical music fan, if you weren't tapping your toes by the end of that, you're nearly dead. (or might as well be)

John Cazale

John Cazale (August 12, 1935 – March 12, 1978) appeared in only five films in his six-year film career, but each one was nominated for Best Picture. He is the only actor to have this multi-film distinction.

Palisades Park - Freddy Cannon

I was watching Confessions of a Dangerous Mind last night and this song was included in the movie because it's a (supposed) autobiography of Chuck Barris, the man who wrote the tune. Even if half the things in the movie weren't true, he still led an interesting life. He was accused of lowering the quality of television and while I wouldn't argue that either way, you you can't really blame him for the schlock that's on the tube these days.

Several of his game shows were huge hits, The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game being two of them, but he was probably best known for The Gong Show.

Well, maybe he didn't any GOOD for the quality of TV....Maybe he DOES share some blame for the schlock that's on these days.

Fired Future Famous Funnyman

Jerry Seinfeld had a recurring role on the TV sitcom Benson in 1980, playing Frankie, a mail boy who was always trying to sell jokes. Seinfeld was fired after only three episodes, learning about it when he showed up for a read-through and discovering there was no script for him.

Night Moves - Bob Seger

You might recognize Matt LeBlanc (Friends) and Daphne Zuniga (Melrose Place). LeBlanc claims to have been drunk during the video, having shared a bottle of tequila with Seger immediately before the shoot.

Time Travel - THE BUSEY ZONE

A few weeks ago, one of my cousins posted a quote from Gary Busey on her Facebook wall.  I forget what the quote was, but it was one of those bits of wit from Busey that would make someone think he's a deep thinking philosopher.

Now, I like Busey...at least, I've liked his acting.  I can't say that I know the man other than his appearances on Celebrity Apprentice or Celebrity Rehab or the interviews with him.  He did a lot of drugs earlier in his life and had a horrible motorcycle injury that resulted in him nearly losing his life and in which he sustained some severe brain trauma.  I don't want to diss the man, but I will admit I think he's a strange duck.

I noticed he had a YouTube channel and I subscribed to it.  I haven't watched all of his posted videos, but I've watched a few and started a few more but didn't manage to finish them.  Most of them are along this vein.
