Clam Eating Salt

I'm not sure if this is fascinating or repulsive.

I probably post one out of every ten things I plan on, Barb. I usually drag the link into my desktop "work" folder, then forget about it when I make a new one w/ ea. month.

I don't think I've ever had clam before, Laura. I love most types of seafood, but don't eat much of it because it's seldom fresh they sell/serve around here. Don't really like oysters all that much, so not sure if I'd like clams. I'd sure try 'em, though.

Thanks f/ posting!

Being from New England we have access to a variety of clams. That one on the table would get chopped up and put in chowder, he's just too big to steam and eat whole or shuck and fry. It would be like trying to eat the sole of your sneaker if it was cooked whole. My 80 year old uncle still goes out clamming in Great Bay. It's a lot of work digging clams but fresh steamed clams delicious although an acquired taste.
