Yes I have seen a lot of them scenes , well maybe not half of the movies, but almost, maybe I just wasn't quick enough to see all of them , I was waiting for a scene from Billy Elliot coming on but it didn't , John Travolta was in a lot of those scenes , and seeing Shirley Temple took me back many years , and of course the good ol Wizzard of Oz scenes. Enjoyed watching them all though.

I haven't seen half the movies, Alison, but close to half the scenes. For example, I've never seen Singin' in the Rain, but the scene is iconic. I don't recall seeing Billy Elliot and was only vaguely familiar with it.

Yes, I started to make a comment about Travolta, but he really is a great dancer. I've seen a lot of Shirley Temple movies, but haven't watched on in years. The last time I tried, it just didn't interest me. I saw a quote the other day by her that said she realized she was famous when Santa Claus asked her f/ her autograph.

I think about you every time Wizard of Oz comes on and how shocked I was when you said you were tired of it...but I had to laugh when you told me about having kids and I realized THAT'S why I still liked it - I never had to watch it ea. and every time it came on. To be honest, after the first time I watched it as a child, it was hard to watch again b/c I was terrified of those flying monkeys!

Thanks f/ posting!

"watched on" = "watched ONE"

I think I'm right in line with you two. I recognized a good half of the clips, and some movies were represented more than a few times. That was a fun thing to watch for a wake up this morning. =BG=

I'll have to confess I didn't watch each video all the way through, mainly because after I decided I was going to post the first one, I started getting the embed code and pasting it and the title to a Notepad document. I watched even less than the second one, but I figured my "seen half" comment was true, because I HAD seen half of the ones I watched.

More on Travolta: I don't know if they had Urban Cowboy in there, but I did see the Pulp Fiction dance contest scene and also one from Saturday Night Fever. I loved Urban Cowboy, and think it's one of Sisterbelle's fav. flicks. I'm not a huge fan of country music, but I like almost all the tunes on the soundtrack. After playing a New Yorker in Fever, I was surprised at how well he did playing a Texan in Cowboy...at least his accent wasn't atrocious, and I've known guys that had plans to work in the oil field or in construction for a few years then buy a ranch. I don't think any ever did it, and I doubt "Bud" did it either. I fell in love w/ Debra Winger (Sissy) in that movie, too.

It was on a few weeks back and I watched a little of it, but I've prob. seen it a dozen times and its appeal has fallen off a long way for me. Ditto for Sat. Night Fever, another movie I loved when I first saw it.

I haven't watched Pulp Fiction all the way through, really need to sometime, but I've seen most of it. When Momma was in the hospital, I went down to the cafeteria to get some coffee and sandwich and the movie was playing on the big screen TV by my table. I've seen it in the TV listings, but don't stop on it when flipping through the channels b/c it reminds me of that sad time, the saddest of my life so far. -sigh_

I still watch Urban Cowboy each and every time I see it on the TV guide. I have had the soundtrack on every device available since the movie came out in the 80's. I love most all the songs and never tire of listening to them. I think I fell in love with Debra Winger, too Mike!

I went on a jag of watching every movie that had Debra Winger in it once when I had all those Hastings gift cards. I can't remember another movie off the top of my head though, that's how unmemorable they were.

It was on a few months ago and I watched it again. Forget her name, but that woman that played Bud's rich g/f sure was pretty and I wanted to see what-all else she had done.

Had to go look again, her name is Madolyn Smith Osborne. Funny thing, the movie came on and I watched it again, then American Pickers had a rerun where they went to Mickey Gilly's and later that evening an old Cheers episode came on with Madolyn Osborne playing sex therapist and Sam fakes impotence just to try to get a date w/ her.
