Its suspension means that prisoners can be held indefinitely without being charged. During the US Civil War, President Lincoln suspended habeas corpus to arrest and silence Southern dissenters. One of our dogs was deathly afraid of fireworks and big thunder storms. Was wierd because he was a good birddog. Guess he could tell the difference between my dad unloading birdshot from a shotgun and those other two.
B's scared of loud noises, but so am I. He really doesn't like it when I've fed him and then decide to take that time to put a new liner in the trashcan.
Pop raised birddogs and I've got some stories about that; some of 'em are even semi-funny.
