From the UNL Extension in Lancaster County website:

These chicken eggs were set on March 17 and should hatch about April 6-9. The eggs are from buff orpington chickens.

This cam has been featured in ToTG a couple of times before.

Mark your calendars!

When I just looked now, 7:22 est, I could see two shells with holes pecked through. Looks like it won't be long now!

Hope G has his popcorn ready for the show. ;-)

clicked back just now and we have a chick almost free from it's egg; that was speedy.

He's flopping all over the place. Not very coordinated at just a couple mins. old, lol!

They must have already removed the chicks, but there's a couple more that look like it won't be long.

Now, if they can keep the Harry Reid supporters away from them....

Looks like this will be the last day to view the chicks. Here's some interesting info from the web site:

Thanks to all the people who have shared comments by taking the on-line survey. If you have questions, we can best answer them on 4-H EGG Cam on Facebook, but here are a couple that can be shared here:
* Concern where the chicks go after they hatch: Some of the chicks hatched on 4-H EGG Cam go right back to the local farmer who donated the eggs. The other chicks are picked up by local farm families who will raise them at home.
* Note For Keith (12 years old): Hi Keith. Yes, all the chicks are doing great. Hatching is a lot of work so if they don't move for a while, they are probably resting. Thanks for your concern."
