Did you know the music for The Star-Spangled Banner was originally used for a British drinking song? The song combines Francis Scott Key's poem "Defense of Fort McHenry" and the tune "To Anacreon in Heaven".

I didn't know it was used for british Drinking song, when I listened to the vid I half thought it had more of a German sound to it , if I had my pint in my hand I think it would kind of make me want to sway side to side and want to clink my glass and say cheers to the one standing next to me.
It's really a hard song to sing and professional singers sometimes have trouble hitting the highest note. (not to mention forgetting the words)
There have been calls to change our national anthem and I would agree, esp. if it was "America the Beautiful". It has some high notes, too, though.
When I drink I generally sway from side-to-side, even when there's no music.
Thanks for posting!
