I had originally posted this in July '08, but found this different, better version. I heard the song on the radio the other day and decided I'd post it and a search showed I already had! Oh well, I have a good memory, but I post so many vids, I can't feel bad for not remembering!

This song I think was out the year I was born , but I remember hearing it when I was very young ,guess it was aired a lot through the 60's , I remember The New Seekers which I believe was formed by one of the members of this group after The Seekers broke up and Judith Durham left to do her solo career , my aunt always loved the song 'You wont find another fool like me ' and always sang it to her hubby ;) ,you got me curious now to find out more as I do remember them having a few hits , I think they had that well known song they used in the coke advert 'I'd like to teach the world to sing' but Judith Durham wasn't singing in that one ( I think ) she had a great voice.
ok im rambling ,thanks for the post Mike nice song.

It was in the soundtrack of the '66 movie of the same name. I did some reading about the song after I bumped it up and found the lyrics were composed by Jim Dale; his name was familiar and I did some research on him and found he narrated the Harry Potter audiobooks, which I have.

I saw this movie w/ my sisters; we went to a LOT of movies around then, have written about it several times before in here. When I think of this tune/movie, I also think of "To Sir With Love", another British film around the same time with a great soundtrack, the tune by Lulu. (who I fell in love with, even though I was only about 11-12 yrs. old. In fact, I think that movie was responsible for my loving the female British accent.

Durham was SO cute back then, was posted under another video of this song, that you could tell her relief at performing it the last time. Strange, though, the twists that life throws one after a decision like that, see it all the time w/ people in a band. They yearn to go off on their own and it doesn't pan out. I say that because I couldn't tell you of any hit or even a song on the charts she did after that. Maybe success wasn't all that important to her, who knows.

Thanks for posting!
