A lovely little site for kids, sure to give them nightmares, courtesy of PETA. It seems they're angry at the Olsen twins for including fur in their latest clothing line.
Dress up the Trollsen Twins at peta2.com!
Here's a sample of the site's message:
Don't think it's OK that 50 rabbits die for one fur coat? Tell Hairy-Kate and Trashley to cut it out now.
There's even a page to "dress" Hairy-Kate and Trashley. I chose Hairy-Kate because she was the "hottest" one of the two.
As you can see, I went with the choked chinchilla hat, the dead doggie shoulder bag with kitty clutch, the butchered beaver boots and the murdered mink mini-skirt for a stylish ensemble.
On the surface, PETA's initial aims were admirable, but the way they've gone about it is reprehensible and puts them in the category of ecological terrorists, much like the "monkeywrenchers" who spike trees with nails so logger's chainsaws will hit them and perhaps cause a mortal injury or even the folks of Sea Shepherd who attempt to foul research ship's propellers and lob stink/slippery "bombs" onto their decks to keep them from legally harvesting whales.
The site has been up for over a couple of years and I'm wondering why there's not been a lawsuit over this.
