"Good luck, Cowboy!" I liked that line.

Great movie, I always like hearing from you about the ranch where that was shot.

I can't think of any other posts to make about it other than doing some Google Earth screen shots of the way to get there, Barb. I've sort of given directions, but not detailed ones.

I guess that line was OK, Laura, but I always thought it a little odd. She could tell by how he looked he was the farthest thing from a cowboy. I guess it could be something she said to any guy, huh?

Also, when she was giving directions, she points up the road where she lives and says "And that way you'll find a whole lotta nuthin' all the way to Canada." Always seemed a little strange, and I've commented on another post that it's not a polite thing to say. Sure, it's relatively flat for several hundred miles, but "nothing" isn't correct.

Oh well, it's just a movie, even though it's a great one.

As many people are prone to do, they wonder about what Noland (played by Hanks) did after the intersection scene. Hanks said he thought he would have gone down the road and hooked up w/ the woman and got married and had babies. I like that scenario.

Cast Away was a great movie, but it's not one I care to watch every time it's on the tube. I bought a copy of it a few years back and it's still in the wrapper.

Thanks f/ posting!

Forgot to add: wonder if she was including herself in the "nothing" comment? Not being sarcastic, was just wondering if her self-esteem was that low after her divorce. I never thought about it until writing that last.

Well, it's not something I would say to any guy. . .

I guess it's just something that Texans say, like "buddy" or "dude" when they don't know someone's name. I used to have a friend who would call someone "buddy", only it was like he spit it out as he was saying it, and the person knew it wasn't a friendly term of address, much like how some military people pronounce "sir", like it rhymed w/ "cur".

I can't remember where that woman that played the part is from, but she's a country and western singer. Her name is Lari White.

You say a lot of things to guys, Laura, but don't seem to mean them.
