I love CCR. I once hear John Fogarty interviewed on an NPR show called Fresh Air. I was so surprised that he sounded nothing like his very distinctive singing voice.
The group reminds me of my teen yrs, of high school. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but there's no "regular" music videos of them on YT and not even very many of them in concert and the ones there are, are not of very good quality.
It was only a few years ago that Fogarty's history of legal trouble with his publisher, his old record label and his old band members was finally resolved. That may be why there isn't much out there in terms of material. The band broke up in the late 70's so not much of a chance to get many video recordings and due to all his legal wrangling he wasn't able to perform his old material.
Could very well be, Barb. Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember those problems. I'll look into it some more.
They were really popular amongst the guys at school- just about every boy's music collection contained some CCR, Chuck Berry, Led Zeppelin and mine had The Beatles (already out of favor and on the verge of breakup) and Elton John, too. I actually bought a lot of those "Best of" or collections of hits w/ various artists, more bang f/ the buck and just the best tunes from diff. albums.
