Good gosh, I loved that song when I was a head banging 20 something kid. I used to have MTV on all the time (once I got a TV in my apartment, lol) That was when MTV actaullly played music videos all day and all night long.

I guess I'm still a headbanger because I like that tune. It's on my mp3 jukebox, as are several other of Idol's songs, White Wedding, To Be a Lover, Don't You (Forget About Me) and others.

Thanks for posting.

He does an "unplugged" version of this that is fantastic, the guitar licks and solos aren't as polished (and I don't think he played the guitar, did he?) but it's pretty darn good.

I liked him too, back in the '80's when he was really rockin' and rollin' along, then I watched an interview with him where someone asked him about his overt drug use and how it influenced his young fans. He blew it off, saying he wasn't a role model and wasn't his responsibility, then he sneered and said he'd heard there was "Rebel Yell LSD" and "White Wedding Heroin" and snickered about it.

I never cared so much what those people did with their lives; I enjoyed their music and their private life was their own, but that just was a little too cheeky for my taste.

I don't think I ever bought any of his music, to be honest. That's sort of a confession there, but I don't care. For some reason, I feel absolutely no guilt about having some of his tunes. (same with some other artists who have made messes of their lives, such as Gary Glitter, Joplin, Morrison, et. al.)
