I never really held some mistakes made by ball players; Pete Rose, Michael Irvin, hundreds of others, but there's a line one shouldn't cross, and this is way under that one.
Actually, I think those two guys crossed a line, but Irvin just made the HoF and Pete will never get in, don't think.
I've got a Wheaties poster from back when he broke the record for hits, think it was, got two, gave one to nephew. Worth a little bit now, something like twenty bucks or so.
Anyway, I'm more of a cat person, but still love dogs, think that's just a cruel thing to do to 'em. There's a difference between puttin' old Yeller down or having a guard dog with a bad temperment towards strangers to protect your family, other sorts of hunting/working dogs... and something like this. It's nothing less than despicable.
I'm not for sure it's in the Bible anywhere, but for some reason I've always thought that it might well be in our final Judgement, something written in the Book of Life, just how we treated our fellow creatures here on Earth...and not just humans.
feel the same way about the "judgement" Colleen asked me today if plants had "feelings". THis came about because I said some of the flowers at the cemetary were "pretty sad". Meant pretty sad looking but she took me to meen literally feeling sad. I told her I didn't rightly know but that they were living things and we should treat all living things nicely. I know, I know, there are exceptions but for now I think it's a good rule to try and hold up for a 7 yearold.
I think you're absolutely right. It must be so hard raising kids these days, esp. with how the MSM focuses on the worst behavior of the worst role models that just happen to get ALL of the attention...people like Vick, who is famous ONLY because he's big and strong and fast and can heave a football 80 yards in the air.
It's also a racial thing with me, and if it makes me a bigot, so be it, but I hate it that he's getting support from the black community, saying that he's only being picked on because he's black. BS. He's being "picked on" because he's a thug and a criminal.
My dad had bird dogs, he once had to shoot a chicken killin' dog of mine (was a quarter coyote, so...)and probably put down more dogs than I ever heard about, but I never, ever saw him be cruel to a dog or any other animal. He used to hunt all sorts of things, birds mostly, but not doves.
Animals like me, for the most part, I can usually pet a dog that might bite someone else, not that I do that all that often. I'm just not scared of 'em, I think they know that, and I think that's what horses sense in me, that I'm scared spitless of 'em. -grin-

psp'd right?
I'm sure it is, but it doesn't make it any less funny. (to me, anyway)
Never thought much of dog fighters, even though I knew guys that liked the "sport". Scum, all of 'em.
nope, still funny =bg=
Just know the SPCA would be redfaced if it weren't.
