I think you're right, sis, or maybe he's being fed something like fermented corn off-camera.
I remember a really bad blizzard back when I was a kid and had hogs. After running out of feed for the animals, I slogged through the snow over to a wheat seed storage barn and, making several trips, brought back buckets of the wheat.
It was too hard for them to eat, so I soaked it in a 55 gal. drum in our heated garage. The hogs loved it.
The snow finally thawed and I could get some food for my animals. There was several gallons of wheat left in the bbl. and it had started stinking and dad told me to get it out of the garage. I started to throw the fermented grain away, but dad told me to feed it to the pigs.
Long story short, they got drunk and were all spinning and running around their pens. Funny thing too, was the next day when they looked like they were miserable with hangovers and I had to fill up their water troughs several times.
Funny comments; this squirrel was filmed for several months with only a few scenes of funny moments. No off camera fun and games added. It lived for many months in those 80 to 100 foot tree's. Have not seen her for a while though.

I liked this.
I like it too Carol. We have so many hawks around that that sleeping/siezing squirrel would have been in somebodies talons long ago.
I think that squirrel has some neurological problem instead of being narcoleptic. Strange video.
