That was a weird video, and I've seen more than few strange ones. Just gave me a whole different take on the song somehow.. I think thats one of dem bad videos to be watching! ;)
hey just saw you have OpenID available now :) cool. I like that setting myself. Makes it nice to go to some sites when I'm already logged into WordPress and I dont have to register to post. :) Just wish blogger would get on the bandwagon and use Gravatars, the avatar image I have on my profile there. Anyway i just thought I'd mention it, as some do prefer the OpenID to blogger..
Weird or not weird I like Marc Almond as a singing Artist , not that he had so many hits but my favourite was always the one he did with Gene Pitney which I dont know if it ever was released in the US , listening to this one though took me back to my younger years and going to the disco and these new wave style songs were all the rage. I hadnt seen the vid before to this song , interesting to watch , thanks for posting it .
It was an option, G, that I thought was just about the most I could do as far as allowing posting.
I don't want to allow anon. posting, hope people can understand. I'm sure I wouldn't care for most comments because they'd be critical of me and I don't think I would hold back on 'em.
I've got a temper sometimes. Ok, ALL the time. I got no use for arguing, so if I can avoid it, I will. It'd be silly to argue over 99% of the stuff I post.
I'd have some right-wing wacko telling me I was going to hell for writing about queers and then I'd have some gay guy condemning me for not marching in the damn Gay Pride parade.
Can't win, even if you're a fence sitter like me.
There's a completely diff. vid; they came out with two versions.
yeah of course I understand about not wanting anonymous posting, but saying that, I do have it on our site and haven't had anyone causing any problems, and the only spam ones that I have had, came from blogger id's! But at least these email ids are reportable if need be, where the anon are not. Well not easily, I imagine one could report any harassing comments to blogger and I have no doubt they log the IPs and could trace it. Again not easily. Well we don't seem to have a lot of traffic to our blogger other than friends and family who do drop in and read from time to time. And a lot of the visitors from Europe seem to not be so keen yet on gmail, but more a hotmail crowd it appears to me just from knowing a few of Alison's friend's email addys. Ok I'm rambling off the topic... well I guess this whole comment is off tpic fromt he original post, but I think we do that right often dont we, habit from MSN groups I guess. ;)
Speaking a bit of that openID reminded me of smething I was going to reply to in one of the other posts where you were speaking about blogger in general. Well I do like the ease and simplicity of it, but had I found out about wordpress.com before this I would have put our site there, only because they do adhere more to the "universal" blog standards in regards to comments and track backs and that sort of thing, not to mention a lot more widgets to use and the openID of course is becoming a web standard as well, I just dont see that happening with blogger ids. Well not anytime soon. Google seems to be pushing their own means of using their id's with the new Google Friend Connect app. which is still being worked on.. not sure where I stand on that yet, it looks to be an easy way to enable any website to become social, but its just something off about it I cant put my finger on yet..
Well while I'm off topic I may as well put this bit in. I noticed a few f the recent posts arent enabled for commenting. Dont know if that was intentional or whether when you set them up to post on future dates its a default setting needs changing or it changed the current default somehow, you might want to check that.. well if you did do it intentionally then just tell me to shut the hell up and you will do what you please! LOL ;)
Ok now back to the topic f this post, the song and vid. I have liked the song since hearing it, but its the first time I ever saw this video and it just sort of struck me weird in a way, I wasnt sure at first what was going on with those "star people" lol Well I'm still not completely sure! Just some of the actions and the timing of the lyics, I was asking myself WTF? LOL well not as much as I did when seeing the forst video they did of this song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEh5pWjcWCg Still like the song and really not making fun of the singing at all, just these videos confuse me... easily done in my case by the way :)

This one seemed to be the "tamer" of the two.

I'll try the anon posting for a while.
Who knows, might be fun.
I saw this, but thought it might've been a glitch. For some reason, the default for queued posts is set to no comments.
I think they're fixed now. I might have another or two in the pipeline, will fix first chance.
